Professional and Staff Development
Are you looking for ways to create more ease, unity, cooperation, and positive interaction within your company, organization, group or team?
Whenever there are two or more people working together, communication issues will arise. This is normal, and it's the healthy company or organization that addresses these bumps in the road before they become pot holes.
Communication is always the key--not just interpersonal communication but also intrapersonal communication. In my content workshops, I start with intrapersonal communication--the most vital part often overlooked or not understood. I provide effective, easy principles and tools for participants to use (first to adjust and re-tool their own perceptual communication) in order to correct projections in their communications that are inaccurate and can lead to reactiveness. In other words, my trainings address specific issues with the group (in a generalized approach so that no one is put on the spot) utilizing awareness tools and activities that I have developed to help individuals indentify their communication blind spots and then begin to retrain themselves in how they are internally filtering the communication or behaviors of others. All communication, whether it's effective or not so effective, begins with intrapersonal communication.
How do I know what to address with each group? I start with a consultation with the CEO, Director, HR Director or Team Leader (or all of the above) to find out what the specific issues and dynamics are. If agreeable with the organization, I also provide a simple, easy, anonymous survey for attendees or particpants of the training to fill out. I review those responses before I customize the training.
After particpants have had a chance to work with the intrapersonal tools and principles, I work with the interpersonal components to get things on track with the mission and highest values of the organization. In this part of the the training, I incorporate principles of compassionate communication using the components of inclusiveness for functioning in unity, problem solving with communication, compassionate confrontation and damage control.
The added carrot is that not only will these content rich sessions pave the way for more cooperation, unity and teamwork within your group or team, the participants can also use the principles and tools of this training to benefit all areas of their lives, creating more ease and peace while reducing stress in all their communications and relationships.
If desired, I will do a follow-up session addressing any questions and reviewing any of the training material.
If you would like to discuss the needs of your group or team, please give me a call or email, and I'll be happy to give you more information and quote a fee.
